Short Cake - Farmers Market

Short Cake at The Original Farmers Market is one of those rare finds where everything you order tastes as if it was created specifically for your individual taste. Short Cake features delectable savory and sweet items that combine the perfect ingredients. From their individual pies overflowing with the freshest fruit, to buttermilk scones to open sandwiches and creative salads - each item is wonderful.
This appetizing eatery is a collaboration of Nancy Silverton, Hourie Sahakian and Amy Pressman. Each has been cooking and intrigued by food almost since they were walking and talking.
You can almost taste the care and years of perfecting with each bite you take .
Pryor Events  are fans of Short Cake.

Bountiful Cake Stands

There is something quite wonderful and even impressive about a shop that has a huge and varied selection of just one type of item.
Bountiful on Abbot Kinney in Venice has all sorts of interesting items but what will catch your eye is their amazing collection of colorful cake plates. They come in an array of sizes and colors.
The cake plates are even made from different types of material - such as glass, ceramic and crystal. Of course you can put cakes on them - as their name implies. Actually, dessert of any kind just looks more appetizing on these lovely stands. We also like to use these collectible pieces as the base for Hors d'Oeuvres, sushi, sliders and delicate tea sandwiches. Mix and match the colors
Pryor Events are fans of Bountiful.

One Kings Lane cocktail napkins

Cocktail napkins are one of those things that you probably never think about, but they are a small way to make a big impact. Instead of using paper cocktail napkins at your next dinner party or larger event, consider buying real linen. They are less wasteful and they feel so much better. Here are a few charming napkins we discovered on One Kings Lane.

Lovely Bridal Shower

We were delighted to plan a recent shower at
a client's Malibu home. The couple got engaged in Paris ~
so the theme was Parisian.
The day was lovely from beginning to end.

A Hotel Bel-Air Wedding

Hotel Bel-Air is one of our favorite locations. The Hotel combines old world charm with just enough of a contemporary flair to make it feel fresh and vibrant.
Stephanie Hogue photographed the lovely wedding we recently planned at the hotel, below.  The bride wanted a classic, understated wedding.
Of course, we made sure the evening was fun and unique.
Pryor Events are big fans of Hotel Bel-Air.

M Street Kitchen - Santa Monica

Delicious Dining in Santa Monica

Santa Monica has no shortage of restaurants. However, I often find myself looking for a place with the following criteria and not too many restaurants meet these specifics:
A. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner -  without closing in between meals
B. A menu consisting of fresh and delicious simple food
C. Casual and fun
D. Outdoor seating

A difficult decision
M Street Kitchen on Main Street in Santa Monica meets all of my criteria. Quite simply, everything on the menu is delicious. The food is fresh and tastes as if it has been selected by hand, but at the same time it's unpretentious and basic. From their almond crunch granola with Greek yogurt to the spinach and cheddar omelette at breakfast to the organic tomato gazpacho and griddle burger at lunch to the country fried chicken with fluffy biscuits at dinner - it is all wonderful. It is the kind of food you could eat nearly every  night  and not get tired of.
Ohh - and did I mention their bakery? All I can say is - leave room for dessert! Pryor Events are big fans of M Street Kitchen.
