A Gorgeous Wedding at the Langham

We recently planned a beautiful wedding at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena - the former Huntington Ritz Carlton. Dramatic lighting, gorgeous flowers and live trees transformed the ballroom. The sensational sounds of Masta insured that guests were on their feet all evening.

Girls just want to have fun! We mixed square and round tables and low and high flowers.

The cake sat on top of a bed of gorgeous flowers and leaves.

The Hidden Garden created a custom huppah for the wedding ceremony.

Japanese Tapas

The intimate back patio at Bar Hayama in West L. A.

We live in a city with no shortage of sushi. You could probably eat at a different Japanese restautrant every night of the week for an entire year. One of my favorites is Bar Hayama on Sawtelle Boulevard in West L.A. The sushi is fresh and delicious but not too odd or complicated. They specialize in Japanese tapas , so it's fun to go with a large group and order many of their dishes. It's a comfortable, friendly neighborhood restaurant. The staff could not be more hospitable and helpful. And, ohhh the fire pits are dreamy - especially the two on the smaller back patio. A few items you want to try - crispy rice with spicy tuna, lobster dynamite served in a Maine lobster, black cod with mushroom ponzu sauce, lobster bisque. They also have many types of sake. Enjoy!

And the Envelope Please

Aren't these fun! Even if you are only having two people over to watch the Oscars these cookies featuring the best actor and actress nominees will add a bit of lighthearted amusement to your evening. They are from one of my favorite sources for delicious gifts -
They have the freshest and most beautiful fruit baskets and gourmet gifts. I especially like their fruit hampers. Everything is packaged perfectly and their fruit is almost too pretty to eat.

As promised - Anthropologie launched its new Bridal Line today. It's appropriately named BHLDN. Behold means "to keep" in Dutch. The pieces evoke a sense of timeless glamour. BHLDN doesn't take itself too seriously. It's fun and a bit flirtatious. The site will feature bridesmaid's dresses, bridal shoes, unique hair accessories, jewelry, lingerie and of course gorgeous wedding gowns. Don't take our word for it - view their site at

The dresses are timeless and romantic

Many of the dresses at BHLDN bring back a feel of Old Hollywood Glamour.

Bridesmaid's dresses are easy and comfortable.

They come in fun colors.

Gorgeous Clothes at Elyse Walker

Elyse Walker is one of those boutiques where you could close your eyes and grab something off of the shelf and you would most certainly adore it. Imagine a boutique filled with beautiful clothes that are both timeless and flattering. The shop is in Pacific Palisades - away from the crowds of Santa Monica and Beverly Hills on charming Antioch Street. In addition to stunning clothes they carry wonderful accessories and phenomenal shoes. Many of my clients prefer to shop here more than anyplace else in all of L. A.

Floral Art on Abbot Kinney in Venice is part flower shop, part home decor shop and 100% incredible. Floral Art reminds me of an adult candy store. It's one of those spaces that you never want to leave. Jennifer, the owner is a super talented florist who also has a great eye for unique design. It is always a treat to bring clients into Floral Art as I am never disappointed in Jennifer's latest finds.
